Karen Parsons

Co-Owner & Founder

Karen Parsons co-founded KP Homescapes with her husband, Phil, in 2012 with a clear vision for the company: treat homeowners with honesty, communicate openly, and build a business people can trust.

Before retiring in 2022, Karen spent 39 years in legal administration with major Washington, D.C., law firms. That experience shaped the way she approaches her role at KP Homescapes today, with a strong emphasis on clear documentation, careful contract management, confidentiality, organization, and accountability.

At KP Homescapes, Karen oversees client communications, project data management, and the administrative systems that help keep projects organized from beginning to end. For Karen, however, those responsibilities ultimately come back to the homeowner experience. She believes clients deserve to be heard, respected, kept informed, and treated fairly throughout the process. Truthfulness and doing what is right remain non-negotiable standards for the entire KP Homescapes team.

Karen was raised in Lanham in Prince George’s County and later lived in Cabin John before making Southern Maryland home in 2012.

Outside of the business, Karen enjoys spending time with her extended family, traveling the world with Phil, discovering new places through local food tours, and attending live theater and concerts. Once active in the D.C.-area East Coast Swing and Argentine Tango communities, she still loves to dance, even if these days it is more often in the kitchen with her husband.
