Karen brings 30 years of accounting experience to her role managing KP Homescapes’ financial operations, including payroll, expense tracking, and job costing. She is AIB Certified through the American Institute of Banking and serves as a commissioned Maryland State Notary Public, supporting accurate, audit-ready recordkeeping across the company.
Karen also holds an RS Means Cost Estimating Certification and American Welding Society Certification standards training, along with OSHA 30-Hour, OSHA Fall Protection, OSHA Confined Spaces, and CPR/First Aid certifications. That field-level training lets her review material takeoffs, labor budgets, and job site expenses with a direct understanding of what’s happening on site, not just what’s on paper. One career highlight was working alongside the company’s CPA to audit and rebuild KP Homescapes‘ accounting systems into a clearer, more transparent framework.
Originally from Miami Beach, Florida, Karen has called Southern Maryland home for many years. Outside of managing the company’s finances, she spends time with family and enjoys wine tasting, gardening, canning, baking, and camping trips.
